Registration
Registration will take only a few seconds — you'll need email and a password. You'll have to activate account via email to get access to all features.
Why register?
You'll be able to comment posts and vote for photographers. We'll be introducing more features later, so once you are registered, you'll be the first to access them. And, by the way, you will be able to use your registration at Beruphoto on our next big project, 500px.
Password and security
Your account is secure. We use industry standard
MD5 cryptographic hash function to secure your passwords. It means that even we are unable to tell what you entered as a password, and we do not store it openly.
Share with friends
We use industry standard service for sharing,
ShareThis. Click on the link and you will be able to share posts with your friends. Additionally, you can quickly post links to Facebook, StumbleUpon or Twitter.
Avatar
We use
Gravatar (globally recognized avatar) system for avatars. It means that you will have to register at Gravatar and upload your avatar with them, using same email address you use with us. Your gravatar will then appear on our (and thousands of other sites) site. It is actually quick and convenient. If you do not have a userpic, gravatar will create a unique userpic based on your email address, which is nice, because you will never see same avatars in comments.
Please note, that Gravatar takes 10-15 minutes to appear after upload due to specific gravatar caching.
Change profile
You can change your profile “on-the-fly”. Just click on the field and edit it. For best results, just enter your nickname, no need to copy the whole link.
We display information from LiveJournal. But you may comment posts right on our pages. Just publish your comment below the post, and your comment will be visible in Beruphoto and will not appear in LiveJournal.

Photographers
Photographers let you find new and exciting photographers on LiveJournal. You may also vote for your favorite photographers, and add them to your friend list on LiveJournal.
Icons and graphics
On our site we use icons designed by Yusuke Kamiyamane from
Pinvoke.com. Using these icons is free under condition of a hyperlink. We really appreciate his work. For service icons, such as Facebook or Last.fm, we use generally available icons from respective services. We also use photographs that appeared in Beruphoto in some icons, which are used for familiarization purposes only. Design of the web-site and logo is the work of Creative Director,
Ian Sobolev.
